Vodacom Internet Data card Top-up Procedure.

Top-up procedure in adding Airtime to and then converting to a data bundle when using the Vodacom network and a dedicated Data card to surf the Internet.

We assume you own the Huawei USB modem and not on a 24 month contract.

To top-up your account or add airtime to your Data card do the following:
Option 1

Remove the Sim and place it into a cell-phone

1. Buy airtime vouchers at Pick and Pay or through internet banking.

2. Load the airtime onto the Sim card as follows

3. Dial 100 and follow the prompts

4. Check that airtime is loaded by dialling *100#

5. Dial *111#

6. Purchase data bundle option 2

7. Option 3 Data bundles

8. Option 1 Broadband Standard

9. Select your bundle based on the airtime value that you loaded , option 7= 1Gig.

10. Select 1 to proceed

11. Select 1 to confirm and finalise conversion.

12. *100# To confirm available airtime, balance of total vouchers loaded will only reflect and not the data bundle.

Call Vodacom Customer care by dialling 082111 or

Vodacom support on 082114 from a Vodacom cell-phone

Option 2

Goto the www.vodacom4me.co.za website and buy the data bundle required based on the Prepaid airtime you have bought or transferred onto the 3G Data cards Sim card.

I suggest you register on Vodacom4me and create an account for yourself and then

How to create a new 3G Profile on your PC to connect to the Internet.

Connect your 3G Data card via USB port on PC.

The Interface allowing you to connect will load from the modem

Install the software – Mobile Partner

Goto

Tools

Options

Profile Management

Delete all the existing Profiles

Create a new Profile by clicking on New then

Give it a Name

Select STATIC ( APN )

Type INTERNET for (APN )

Save

Network

Select WCDMA only for High speed connection only

Create another profile for WCDMA preferred if area supports low speed.

Apply the settings
