NFS Shift PS3 and iBurst
by computerwiz on Oct.16, 2009, under Computer Wiz - Blog
NEED FOR SPEED SHIFT THE RACING DRIVING SIMULATOR
I need a reliable on-line gaming internet connection to play NFS Shift on my PS3.
The solution to this is iBurst.
You must use the iBurst desktop modem and not the USB iBurst modem as the routers are more expensive when using the iBurst USB modem.
Ask Claire or Reg about the hard or soft cap requirements.
Ask us about the pay-per-use option.
If you need some info on ADSL as the broadband connection then ask us.
iBurst is the best and very reliable and fast wireless broadband connection for your PS3.
If your iBurst has not been setup correctly and that includes your ps3 mtu please dont blame iburst.

iBurst USB modem power turned off
by computerwiz on Oct.16, 2009, under Computer Wiz - Blog
Does your iBurst USB modem power turn off by itself ?
The power to your USB port will be turned off to save power even if you have an iBurst Desktop modem.
Windows xp can and does manage the power of your USB ports.
My advice is to turn the power management of your USB ports off.
- The quick and easy way of restoring the power to a usb port is to unplug the cable and to then reinsert the USB cable.

USB Power Turned Off
by computerwiz on Oct.13, 2009, under Computer Wiz - Blog
Windows XP or Vista or Windows 7 USB ports not working ?
Windows XP and Vista including Windows 7 has a habit of turning the power off to your USB devices ?
This is a common problem that is experienced by many customers.
Windows by default is allowed to save power by turning the power off to the USB ports.
The solution to the problem is straight forward.
Turn off the Power Management to the USB ports and your computers network adapter cards.
The ethernet wifi and bluetooth devices power will be affected if left unchecked.
How do I do this you may ask.
- Goto your Control panel and then
- Click on System and then Hardware and then
- Device Manager.
- Turn off the Power Management to the various devices by
- Unchecking the Power Management as indicated below.
- Remember to Uncheck the Power Management to your USB ports too.
- The reason for this is that some customers only use the USB port on the iBurst modem.
- Make sure you have applied the settings to every USB Root hub.
