How to create a Dial-up connection if your iBurst Dashboard is problematic or the Windows Firewall or the Antivirus has blocked your dashboard from launching and you are unable to connect to the internet.
Click on START then
ALL PROGRAMS then
ACCESSORIES then
COMMUNICATIONS then run the
NEW CONNECTION WIZARD.
Now follow the slides and select the options as per slide and then
enter your iBurst username and password as supplied with your iBurst modem.

click next

make sure the 1st option is selected “connect to the internet” then
click next

select the set up connection manually then click next

select the 2nd option and click next

just enter the name iBurst and clcik next

now enter your username and password for your iBurst modem and
make sure both little blocks are highlighted and click next

Before you click on Finish make sure you selected “ add a shortcut then
click on FINISH and find the shortcut on your desktop as per next slide.

Double click the shortcut and make sure that you have selected save password
and that anyone can use this connection and then only click on CONNECT.

You should now be connected to the internet once again.
If you are unable to connect make sure that the modems power is On and that the modem is connected to your computer.
If you are using the iBurst USB modem then you must have 2 Leds or lights on. A blue for power and a green or yellow for signal strength.
If your signal strength light stays red then that means your signal could be poor or there is a problem with one of the iBurst base stations you connect to.
If you use the Desktop modem then make sure the power is on, push the little button on the side of the modem to switch ON or to reset the modem.
Make sure you only use one of the interfaces on the desktop modem and that you do NOT have both interfaces connected to your computer.
Either have the white cable connected between your iburst modem and PC or
Use the black USB cable.
Once again only one interface may be used on the desktop modem.
If you use the ETHERNET connector or RJ45 interface ( The white cable that was in the iBurst box ) being another name for this interface then you do not need to install any drivers.
If you use the USB interface (The black cable that was in the box) then you must load the USB driver for your computers operating system.
You find the driver on the iBurst CD in the Drivers folder and then goto the PC folder to find the windows drivers and install the correct driver.
If you are using a Mac then goto the Mac folder for your drivers.
This instruction guide was created by Computer Wiz in the event that the iBurst Dashboard becomes problematic and or the Windows firewall including your Antivirus has blocked your Dashboard and you are now unable to connect to the Internet.
