Having problems viewing your website via your broadband connection ?

How do I proceed in determining who is to blame ?

Is the problem my broadband connection ? or

Is the problem with the server where my website is being hosted ? or

Is it an International probem ?

• Make sure you have available bandwidth on your broadband account 1st.
• Open a cmd window with the run option from start.
• Ping your local ISP and or google.co.za
• Most servers will not allow you to ping the site or domain if the security is high.
• Run the Tracert command to your website and see the route to your website.
• If the route to your website is completed successfully you know your broadband connection is ok.
• If you are unable to ping any site then your tcpip commands are disabled or you are not connected to the internet or your website is down.
• See if you can ping your lan loopback address with ping 127.0.0.1
• If you receive a reply then you know lan card interface is ok and the commands are activated on your pc.
• If you can display  a google webpage with your browser then you are connected to the Internet
